WorkHappier™ Award Winners Raise the Bar

Feb 25, 2016

Looking for inspiration for best-in-class employee engagement? We’ve rounded up the biggest players across seven different categories of innovation to give you a well-rounded picture of what it means to WorkHappy™.

We’ve been in the employee engagement game for a long time. At this point, we know excellence when we see it. We started the WorkHappier™ Awards to publicly recognize some of our most innovative clients who have shown exceptional commitment to employee engagement. But as we all know, there’s not a singular formula for an engaged workforce, so we decided to recognize our client’s efforts in seven different categories – each one being an important ingredient to a genuinely happy workforce. Read on to see who our panel of judges selected as best-in-class within each category.

  • Northwestern Mutual has been named Rookie of the Year as a company that placed a strategic focus on its initial program launch which resulted in a strong first year.
  • Hewlett-Packard Company and Western Union have been named Quarterback  (in a tie) as companies that place a strong focus on middle manager engagement as part of the overall program strategy.
  • Gap Inc. has been named Passionate Leader as a company that places a strong focus on executive engagement as part of the overall program strategy.
  • The Coca-Cola Company, North America Group has been named Number Cruncher as a company that has proven the effectiveness of its program via quantifiable metrics.

Winners were announced at BI WORLDWIDE’s WorkHappier™ Awards ceremony in Las Vegas on February 25, 2016. These esteemed companies have launched and maintained some of the most advanced program strategies in the world because they understand that an engaged workforce is essential to overall business success.

Employee engagement is so much more than checking a box. It is a multi-faceted, ongoing responsibility to redefine the workplace experience. Despite the challenge of a moving target, our winners have shown how a solid strategy can change the game.

Cheers to the best and brightest who continue to rise to the challenge and inspire us to rethink what it means to WorkHappy™.
