Issues
The company wanted to:
- Recognize and celebrate the sales achievements of the top sales reps and store managers for the year.
- Provide five separate division recognition events in one evening in addition to the group recognition event.
- Exceed the expectations of winners, guests and company representatives, many who have earned this travel award in the past.
Solution
- The client and BI conducted a site inspection the Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach in Cancun, Mexico five months before program operation.
- Given the destination and the driving distance to exclusive venues, consideration for onsite venues and décor options was paramount. The hotel staff transformed several sections of their ballrooms into mini decor-display rooms, each completely decorated with various choices of linens and chair covers, perimeter décor and lighting for various themes. The client was able to experience first hand each décor option and its location.
- For the final evening awards function, the hotel set up the stage complete with a moving pyramid backdrop so the client could visualize the staging.
- The careful planning up front contributed to a successful trip. The five separate division recognition events and the group recognition event were successfully implemented onsite during the final night.
