Case Study

With a packed house, and a fun vibe, BI delivered for Rock the Vote for yet another election year!

Results

  • The Rock the Vote Ballot Bash was a resounding success. Executive Director Heather Smith and board members said it was the best executed event they did all year.

Rock the Vote, a non-profit, non-partisan organization committed to engaging young adults in the political process, wanted to register and drive one million voters to the polls for the 2004 election. BI created a nationwide mobile marketing experience that exceeded their goals and expectations. It was only natural that Rock the Vote would turn to BI in 2008 to produce its largest election year event, The Ballot Bash, at the Democratic National Convention.

Issues

  • Design buzz worthy event that would attract A-list talent and attendees
  • Create guest experience that is in line with their youth demographic while satisfying their financial supporters
  • Produce flawless concert experience that furthers Rock the Vote’s credibility with its constituents

Solution

  • BI worked with Rock the Vote to identify the ideal venue, the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in Denver during the Convention. This location was within the foot traffic of the attendees and had the perfect entry for the high-profile red-carpet experience.
  • With A-list talent on the carpet and global media attention Bi executed flawlessly. A-list talent included: Jakob Dylan, N.E.R.D, Fall Out Boy, DJ Skee, and DJ Nick Cannon. The stage design, lighting, technical was captivating and on brand.
  • With speech coaching provided for all the speakers on stage they were proud of the way their messages were communicated.
  • BI worked with Rock the Vote and AT&T for a text message campaign that produced live results on the jumbotrons throughout the course of the event. After the show, 400 VIPS were escorted underground to a private after party to rock the night away.
