Through our research, we continually see higher scores across all 12 rules when employees say they feel supported by their manager.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20)\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Purpose and Meaning<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gartner.com\/en\/articles\/employees-seek-personal-value-and-purpose-at-work-be-prepared-to-deliver\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Gartner<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;states that whilst up to 82 per cent of employees say it\u2019s important for their organisation to see them as a person, not just an employee, only 45 per cent of employees believe their organisation sees them this way.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cultural shift that\u2019s taken place since 2020 has seen an acceleration in employees looking to align their work with their personal sense of purpose and values. Being employed isn\u2019t just about having a job;&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.qualtrics.com\/uk\/ebooks-guides\/2023-ex-trends-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>it\u2019s a part of a person\u2019s value system<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our research shows that where employees feel connected to their organisation\u2019s vision and have clear understanding of how their role and work is contributing towards the overall mission, they&#8217;re more likely to speak up, engage and further fuel the culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is supported in the Qualtrics research that states they\u2019re&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.qualtrics.com\/uk\/ebooks-guides\/2023-ex-trends-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>27 per cent more likely<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;to have higher engagement scores, and 23 per cent more likely to stay working for more than 3 years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading  has-gradient-fill has-gradient-fill-orange\" style=\"padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20)\">Examples of employee engagement strategies<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"examples\">A successful employee engagement strategy is one that&#8217;s been built around the needs of the organisation in question. Where workforces are more disparate than ever, both physically (in-person, hybrid, and remote) and geographically across multiple regions, a blended approach to feedback is key.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using both in-person tactics, such as town halls, and digital methods, such as online surveys, ensures all employees have an opportunity to express their thoughts.
