BIW is an official production partner with the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games

BI WORLDWIDE is an official production partner of the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games set to take place June 20-26 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They will produce the event’s opening and closing ceremonies–immersive in-stadium experiences designed to inspire, unite, and leave a lasting imprint–and are also overseeing the design and production of the ceremonial cauldron.

Executive Producer Sara Shives leads the BIW team and brings ceremonies experience from the 2014 Sochi Olympic and Paralympic Games Ceremonies and the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games, and Creative Director Josh Campbell brings theatrical performance and directing experience from Broadway and Las Vegas.

“Meaningful and memorable moments spark inspiration,” said Dawn Martin, BI WORLDWIDE’s Vice President of Meetings and Shows. “Special Olympics athletes are inspirational, and we are creating ceremonies that reflect the joy, courage, and determination of those individuals. The 2026 USA Games are a celebration of inclusivity and allyship, and they are a rallying cry for everyone to uplift and inspire those around them. It is truly an honor to be a part of this event.”

The 2026 Special Olympics USA games will take place across Minnesota’s Twin Cities, with sports competitions at the University of Minnesota and the National Sports Center in Blaine. Over 3,000 athletes from all 50 states will compete in 19 Olympic-type team and individual sports.
