A complex operational environment
A healthcare organization faced two simultaneous challenges: increasing employee recognition and engagement while also managing toward a critical year-end margin goal. In parallel, they needed to improve financial operations by accelerating the collection of outstanding accounts receivable and resolving long-standing payer issues.
The solution was a custom nomination program to drive recognition while also creating an incentive with points awards for performance.
Strategic recognition program implementation
To support engagement goals, the organization launched a nomination-based recognition program within their recognition platform. The program focused on three key pillars: Financial Value, Quality, and Process Improvement. The objective was to recognize at least 60% of the eligible employee population within the year, ensuring broad visibility and appreciation for contributions aligned with business priorities.
Doubled the goal
This dual approach, recognizing performance while driving financial accountability, helped the organization align employee behavior with both cultural and operational goals. The results exceeded expectations:
- 1,800 nominations submitted
- 1,006 individual employees nominated
- More than doubled the margin goal
